Macquarie University

Founded in 1964, Macquarie University is one of the top universities in Australia with main campus situated in Macquarie Park. It has strong international reputation in various research and teaching areas, consistently ranks in the top 10 Australian universities for the number of Discovery Grants and Federation Fellowships awarded by the Australian Research Council and the number of major national research centres established on-campus.

The university has the following faculties: Faculty of Business and Economics, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, and Faculty of Human Sciences. It offers a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Accounting, Actuarial Studies, Ancient History, Anthropology, Biotechnology, Business, Economics, Education, Engineering, Finance, Information Technology and Computing, International Studies, Law, Psychology and many more. The university’s teaching staff consistently received citation awards from the national Carrick Institute.

- Placed as a top 200 university in the world. According to the THES - QS World University Rankings, it is ranked 82nd in 2006, 168th in 2007, 182nd in 2008, 189th in 2009.

- Ranked 96th among the top 100 universities for Arts & Humanities (THE-QS 2009).
