As part of its rigorous leadership training courses, IMD offers students 20 sessions with a psychologist as an elective to increase self-understanding and empathy. 
Since 2002 classes have traveled to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Argentina, and South Africa to learn how business development can improve the lot of fragile countries. 
This year's class comprises 44 nationalities: 33% are European, 22% Asian, and 15% African or Middle Eastern. Last year, 70% of the class took jobs in Europe after graduation.
